Journal 86: Interview with Alejandra Corsini
Alejandra Corsini has built her own career as an interior designer and content creator, combining her passion for design, aesthetics, and motherhood. Through her projects, such as Momcast, she raises awareness of topics related to motherhood, as well as food and fashion, on her social media accounts.
Now that you are going through motherhood for the fourth time, how are you managing to balance this new personal chapter with the growth of Momcast?
“It’s still early days, but at Momcast we aim to provide tools that support the wellbeing of all mothers, both psychologically and physically. This means I’ll be able to have professionals around me who can help me navigate this new stage, while also allowing us to continue growing.”
Momcast.es was created as a space centred around motherhood. What need did you feel was missing that led you to launch the project?
“Both my two co-founders and I experienced moments during our motherhood journeys when we felt we lacked support — a child’s heart condition, having a premature baby, changing our professional path… We saw the need to create a place where mothers can share their experiences with people who have been through, or are going through, the same things.”
What role do social media play in your life today?
“Right now, it’s my job, and I’m very grateful for that because it allows me to balance it with what is my priority every day: taking care of my children.”
How important is it for you to surround yourself with objects that have a story behind them?
“At home, I really like having antique pieces that have a meaning, such as furniture belonging to my grandparents or relatives who are no longer with us. It helps me remember them.”
What place in the world would you love to explore wearing your Friulanes?
“I’d love to visit Venice and take them with me on my trip, since they come from there.”
