Searching for beauty, from north to south, traveling infinite roads was the origin -and the present- of Cayumas. We began the adventure in 2010 and since then we do nothing but soak up the culture, tradition and art that surrounds us in each destination, because in all of them there is an artisan willing to show us his work; the true and valuable know how. In the originality, the production without surprises or surpluses, and in the quality is their stamp and ours.
On our first trip together to Italy in 2010 we fell in love with friulane, elegant Venetian shoes made of velvet and sewn one by one by hand by artisans following the tradition. Just as Venetian shoes are so called because they are made in Venice, ours are called friulane because they are made in Friuli, north of Venice. Comfortable and assembled without glue on the sole or cardboard in the heel, they are the eternal trend, because since they were created in the eighteenth century they have become the favorite of Venetian gondoliers since their sole does not leave a mark on the gondola and their production has not ceased. Neither has their success.
Always made with care and in small colorful batches, Cayumas friulane are made as in the past by our master craftsman, with organic materials, English Liberty fabrics for the sole and recycled rubber from bicycle wheels for the sole. Each pair takes one hour to produce. They neither weigh nor have seasons. They are worn all the time.
All our friulans are named after operas, in honor of other Italian works of art.

Our Cayumas Stores
Our stores reflect the essence of Cayumas. The first one opened in Madrid, at 32 Avenida del Doctor Arce, as an office and warehouse, but the response from the neighbors was so extraordinary that it soon became a store open to the public. Today it is affectionately known as “the blue and pink store on the corner” and has become a regular stop for both Madrileños and travelers from around the world, who visit it on their way to the airport or upon their return, even with their suitcases in hand. Our second store is located at Callejón de Jorge Juan, 14, right in the heart of Madrid—a street with a special charm, surrounded by boutiques and restaurants, where visitors from all over the world stroll every day.
