How to care the friulans?

Care & Maintenance

To help extend the life of our products and keep their materials in the best possible condition, we recommend following the care instructions below.

Important: the recommendations below are general guidelines and apply to the materials specified. When specific care instructions are provided with the product, we recommend following them.

Natural materials, delicate fabrics, dyes and finishes may react differently to cleaning processes. For this reason, we recommend taking particular care when cleaning any product and, whenever in doubt, consulting a professional specialist.

Velvet, Cotton & Denim Friulane

For a localised stain

If there is only one stain, we recommend treating only the affected area, gently brushing it with a suitable shoe brush, cold water and a small amount of mild soap.

Avoid applying excessive pressure to the fabric and do not use harsh products, stain removers, bleach or other products that may alter the colour or texture of the material.

For a complete clean

When permitted by the product's care instructions, the shoes may be machine washed using a delicate cycle, at a maximum temperature of 30°C.

We recommend using only a mild detergent specifically formulated for delicate garments or fabrics. Do not use fabric softener.

Once the washing cycle is complete, allow the shoes to air dry naturally. Keep them away from direct heat sources, radiators, tumble dryers and prolonged exposure to high temperatures.

Daily care

For removing dust, lint and small particles, we recommend using a lint roller.

When storing your friulane in a wardrobe, we recommend keeping the paper inside the shoes to help maintain their shape.

Silk Friulane

Silk friulane require particularly delicate care.

We recommend professional dry cleaning only, following the applicable care instructions for the product.

We do not recommend washing silk friulane with water at home, as this may result in changes to the colour, texture, shape or finish of the silk.

Linen, Leather, Suede, Loro Piana Interiors, Casa Lopez & Gastón y Daniela Friulane

These materials require particularly delicate care.

When permitted by the product's care instructions, we recommend cleaning them by hand, using a soft, clean, natural-coloured cloth, lightly dampened with cold or lukewarm water and a small amount of mild soap.

Do not rub vigorously or saturate the material with water.

After cleaning, allow the friulane to air dry naturally without wringing, keeping them away from direct heat sources and prolonged exposure to sunlight.

Do not use bleach or iron.

Daily care

For regular maintenance, we recommend using a brush specifically designed and suitable for the material of the shoe. Brush gently, taking into account the characteristics of each fabric or finish.

Wool Berets

To remove dust and superficial dirt, gently brush the beret using a medium-soft clothing brush.

For cleaning, we recommend professional dry cleaning, unless the product's care instructions expressly indicate another method.

Avoid washing, twisting or wringing the beret with water unless specifically indicated, as wool may change in size, shape or texture.

Cashmere

Cashmere is a delicate fibre that requires special care.

When permitted by the product's care instructions, it may be washed by hand or in the washing machine, using a specific wool or delicate-garment cycle.

In both cases, we recommend using a mild detergent specifically formulated for wool or delicate fabrics.

If washing by hand, do not rub or wring the garment. If using a washing machine, we recommend selecting a low-intensity programme and always respecting the temperature indicated in the care instructions.

Allow the garment to dry according to the applicable care instructions and keep it away from direct heat sources.
