Journal 81: Interview with Sofía Paramio
Sofía Paramio is a Spanish entrepreneur, journalist, and communications expert. After beginning her career in media outlets specializing in fashion and lifestyle, she co-founded All About Management, a talent and communications agency focused on brands, talent, and influencers.
What lessons did your experience in traditional media leave you that are still present in the way you create content today?
"I entered that world with a great deal of curiosity, and it only made me even more curious. It taught me not to settle for the information that reaches the general public, but to go one step further: to seek context, read extensively, ask questions, and find the angle that makes a difference. I also learned the value of rigor, fact-checking information, and understanding that there is a responsibility behind every story. These lessons remain very much with me today and, at a time when information spreads so quickly, I believe they are more important than ever."
How do you see the concept of the “influencer” evolving in the coming years?
"I believe the term will evolve toward profiles with greater credibility and specialization. Audiences are looking for authenticity and genuine connections, so creators who provide value, have a distinctive voice, and build communities will become increasingly influential, rather than those who simply accumulate followers."
A style icon?
"I’ve always been inspired by people whose style is consistent with who they are, rather than those who follow trends. In an environment where we often end up consuming and creating very similar content, I think true style lies in maintaining a strong personal identity over time."
How important are shoes in your day-to-day life?
"I’m the kind of person who starts putting an outfit together from the shoes. I also need them to reflect my personality or how I want to feel that day."
What would your perfect Cayumas look like?
"I really like the Pagliacci model in neutral tones because it goes with everything, although I wouldn’t say no to an animal print every now and then."
What place in the world would you like to explore wearing your friulanes?
"It’s hard not to think of Venice or Tuscany when you think of them, so definitely Italy."
